Kežmarská televízia, also known as KTV, is the city's television channel, which began broadcasting in 2005. At that time, the television focused on broadcasting video news on the infochannel. However, since 5 April 2006, the programme has been expanded to include a regular weekly block of reports from the town of Kežmarok and its surroundings. This block is known as Kežmarok Magazine.
Kežmarský magazín is a 20-minute programme that offers viewers interesting reports and news from the life of the town. It presents various events, cultural events, sports activities, social initiatives and many other topics that are relevant to the residents of Kežmarok and its surroundings.
The production of Kežmarok magazine is provided by a team of six editors, three of whom are external collaborators. In addition, two camera operators - editors, who ensure the quality of the visual aspect of the programme, are also involved in the production.
The uniqueness of Kežmarok Television is the cooperation with the inhabitants themselves. The editorial team receives ideas for reports directly from citizens, who have the opportunity to share their opinions, experiences and interesting stories with viewers. This interaction with the public is important for KTV, as it allows residents to actively participate in the production of the programme and bring what is close and important to them to the screen.
