CBN, the Christian Broadcasting Network, is a global ministry dedicated to spreading the word of God and sharing its love with people in need.

CBN was founded in 1960 in Portsmouth, Virginia, by Pat Robertson, who had recently become a born-again Christian. CBN entered the broadcasting industry in October 1961 when WYAH-TV in Portsmouth, the group's flagship station, signed a contract to air. Its program was funded by small donations from individuals and local churches.
