On August 30, 2007, a significant milestone was achieved in the world of television broadcasting in South India. Rachana Television Private Limited (RTPL) launched Bhakti TV, the region's first devotional channel. This marked a new era in the television industry, as it catered specifically to the spiritual needs of the audience. Bhakti TV quickly gained popularity and became a household name, offering a unique blend of religious content and cultural programs.

South India has always been known for its rich cultural heritage and deep-rooted spirituality. Bhakti TV tapped into this aspect and brought forth a channel that showcased devotional music, religious discourses, and live coverage of religious events. The channel aimed to provide a platform for spiritual seekers to connect with their faith and explore the diverse religious practices prevalent in the region.

In addition to its religious programming, Bhakti TV also offered a range of cultural shows highlighting the traditions, festivals, and rituals of South India. This allowed viewers to not only deepen their understanding of their own faith but also gain insights into the practices of other religions.

One of the key features that set Bhakti TV apart from other channels was its focus on technology. RTPL introduced a live stream option, enabling viewers to watch TV online. This feature revolutionized the way people consumed television content, as it provided the flexibility to watch their favorite shows anytime, anywhere. The live stream option also allowed viewers to engage in real-time discussions and participate in interactive programs, enhancing their overall viewing experience.

To ensure seamless news coverage, RTPL invested in a fleet of twelve DSNG (Digital Satellite News Gathering) vans. This made Bhakti TV the first regional channel in the country to possess such a fleet. These vans were strategically stationed across South India, enabling the channel to gather news from various locations promptly. This commitment to news gathering demonstrated Bhakti TV's dedication to providing accurate and up-to-date information to its viewers.

Tummala Narendra Choudary, the Chairman of NTV (Next Generation TV), played a pivotal role in the success of Bhakti TV. Under his leadership, the channel grew exponentially, becoming a household name in a short span of time. Choudary's vision to cater to the spiritual needs of the audience and his relentless efforts to bring quality content to the viewers were instrumental in establishing Bhakti TV as South India's first devotional channel.

the launch of Bhakti TV by RTPL on August 30, 2007, marked a significant milestone in the television industry of South India. The channel's unique blend of devotional and cultural programming, coupled with its focus on technology, set it apart from its counterparts.
